Wow! That's really incredible. I wonder what people will pay if they don't have to? I guess if you're used to illegally downloading music for free, you might pay nothing. But what about the people like me who alwasy feel a little guilty about ripping off the musicians? Will I pay full price out of principle? Pretty stupid if you can get it for free.
Oh, crap! Thanks for catching my typo--I am TERRIBLE at spelling! It shall be corrected.
I wonder what effect this will have on the "classical" music biz--the recording industry made opera stars of people with no acting ability and changed the ears of audiences to atune to the slightest mistake (listen to opera stars from the dawn of recording technology vs. modern performers and you will hear the difference immediately). Will this revolution level the playing field between artists? G*d, I hope so.
I heard about this on NPR the other day-yay Radiohead! And what is this about principle? It's not a matter of principles, Jenny, if it's a matter first of legality! Let's hope we all can re-examine our addiction to getting the milk for free and spend a little where a little is asked. Just a thought.
Hi, and welcome to a glimpse of my life. I'm Zerd, your hostess with the mostess. Things to know at the outset: I'm an opera singer, I love books, adore my sweet/silly husband, and hold passionate opinions about pretty much everything. In short, I am a Big Nerd.
