Now it's the domain of assholes on the Internet who create "a fake online identity to praise, defend or create the illusion of support for one’s self, allies or company." This isn't illegal (nor should it be, unless they are spreading lies to boost stock sales or some such nonsense), it's just embarrassing--how lame and insecure do you have to be to converse with your own alias in order to stroke your Ego? Par example: according to The NY Times, John Mackey, founder of Whole Foods, "wrote as Rahodeb, 'I like Mackey’s haircut.
